Tassimo Brewers and Espresso Pads Recalled

More than 1 million Tassimo brewers have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after reports of hot liquid being sprayed out of the machine and burning users. According to reports, there were 140 spraying incidents and 37 reports of second-degree burns. In the most publicized incident of Tassimo brewer malfunction, a 10-year-old girl was hospitalized for second-degree burns on her neck and face. The young girl had to undergo surgery for a skin graft. The girl's family found that they were not the only ones who had experienced a Tassimo malfunction, and were surprised to learn that the product had not yet been recalled.
